After years spent in the London rat race, we decided to switch the daily grind for a family life in the sun.
My wife, Electra, and I moved to Cyprus with our two young children (Raphael and Ophelia) in search of a better balance and lifestyle. We wanted an outdoors lifestyle, less stress and the community feeling we felt was lacking in London. Like any big move, it came with its fair share of questions, hiccups and unexpected learning curves.
Limassol Expats was born out of that experience. My co-founder, Tammy, and I wanted to create the guide and support system we couldn’t find when we moved to Limassol - something clear, honest and genuinely useful for anyone thinking of relocating to Cyprus. From practical info to personal stories, it’s here to make settling in simpler and living well easier.

Hi, I’m Adam and relocated to Limassol with my growing family during the summer of 2024.
kids (Summer, Sullivan and Jett) in December 2023, trading the fast pace of life in Singapore for the slower, sunnier rhythm of Limassol.
Like any big international move, it came with plenty of challenges, especially trying to find reliable, family-focused information in those early days. That’s what led us to create Limassol Expats, a space where we could share tips, stories and resources to help other families settle in more easily.
Originally from South Africa, I’ve lived in London and Singapore before landing here, and motherhood has been the biggest adventure of them all. I also work as a baby sleep coach, helping other parents get a bit more rest and calm whilst raising a young family.
Limassol Expats grew from a shared desire: Adam and I both wanted to create the kind of guide and support network we couldn’t find when we first arrived. Whether you're planning your move or are already here, we hope this space helps you feel informed, connected and a little more at home.
